Fatal Snowmobile Accident Updated -- Names Released On January 14, 2018 at about 12:25 a.m. the Price County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting two snowmobilers were missing for over two hours. They had left a property in the Township of Elk and had not arrived at their destination in the City of Phillips.
Phillips: 12.6 Million Dollar School Referendum Question Set for April 3rd Ballot In Phillips, the April 3rd ballot will see a $12.6 million referendum question about demolishing the 1958 and 1972 portions of the elementary school to build a new structure. Bank Branch Closures While Wells Fargo itself is still in business, the Wells Fargo branches in Phillips and Park Falls will be closing on May 2nd and May 16th, respectively.

Public Bus Route Expands In April 2018, the public bus route will expand to include service in Phillips and between Phillips and Park Falls on Saturdays.

Park Falls:  Update -- Chequamegon Student Physically Removed from Bus According to a press release, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, the Park Falls Police Department received a complaint wherein it was reported a Chequamegon School District student was physically removed from a school bus by a Chequamegon School District staff member.  This matter was investigated, and the case was then referred to the Price County district attorney for review.
