"Phillips is no more" Remembering 40 Years After the "Downburst" Forty years ago on July 4th at 2:55 p.m., around the time the parade will end in downtown Phillips later today, a great storm hit. For anyone who lived here in 1977, they remember the pea soup green color of the sky, the loud freight train sound of the winds, the scared emotions they felt, the compassion of neighbors helping neighbors and strangers helping strangers, and the determination of the area to repair and restore the great City of Phillips. Never Give Up:  Annika Angelo Finishes Second at Pan American International Powerlifting Annika Angelo participated in the Pan American International Powerlifting Competition held on July 6th in Orlando, Florida as a member of the United States National Team.  Annika; her mother, Luanne Angelo; and her coach, Steve Mealman, shared information about the event and the journey toward reaching Annika's goal.
Ogema: Three Vehicle Crash Price County Sheriff, Brian S. Schmidt, reported his department is investigating a three vehicle crash in the Township of Ogema.

Phillips:  Ribbon Cutting for Wisconsin’s Largest Solar Field Thursday, August 3rd marked the ribbon cutting for the 2.5 megawatt, 22-acre solar field located on the north side of Phillips known as the Flambeau Solar Project.
2017 Price County Fair Has A Reduced Price Admission Option Plus New Entertainment The 2017 Price County Fair will be held Wednesday, August 23rd through Sunday, August 27th at the Price County Fairgrounds in Phillips. There are two major changes to this year's fair.

ALERT:  Child Missing The Ashland County Sheriff's Office has issued a notice of a missing child.  Kendra Lamb, age 16, has been missing from Glidden, Wisconsin since July 19, 2017.  If you have any information on her whereabouts, please contact the Ashland County Sheriff's Office at 715-682- 7023.
