Are you ready for an exciting addition to the Price County Fair? The All Star Monster Truck Tour is making its debut appearance on Saturday, August 26th and Sunday, August 27th.
“The line-up of all-star monster trucks is huge,” said Kristy Reichert, fair board member and entertainment chairman. “Some of the biggest all-star monster trucks from all across the nation will converge on Phillips to battle in a jaw-dropping best trick competition, wide open racing, and no rules / no holds barred freestyle throw down.
According to Kristy, participating in the show will be the first monster truck to successfully complete a backflip in front of a live audience; Larry’s Quick’s Ghost Ryder, a former national points series champion known for driving his wild 1968 Ford Fastback Mustang to the limits; Larry’s wife, Shannon Quick, will be in the hot pink Girl Power monster truck; and Jeff Gottwald’s, Illuminator, the world’s only glow-in-the-dark monster truck.
Along with the monster trucks, there will be stunt performances by Wisconsin’s Demolition Devil, Scott Turkiewicz, who will perform the body burn, engulfing himself in 700 degrees of flames as he walked around the arena floor.
This exciting addition comes with an $18,000 price tag for the fair, but the fair board members know it will be worth it to bring something new to the community. "We put these events on to make our community happy and to give them something to do here instead of trying to find somewhere else to go to have a good time with their family, their friends, and to make amazing memories with them," shared fair board member, Amanda Seitz.
