Job Description:

We are currently seeking Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, or Software Engineering students for a Spring/Summer 2020 or Summer/Fall 2020 Co-op.

During the Co-op term, the students will get the opportunity to work with our product groups in the office as well as on-site to assist with installation/startup/commissioning. Our goal is to give each student the opportunity to experience the responsibilities of a full time mechanical/electrical engineer at BW Papersystems and better understand how industrial automation is applied in the Corrugating and Paper Sheeting industry.

Education

Working towards B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of coursework in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical schooling.

Primary Job Responsibilities Include:

Support BWP project teams
Electrical engineering design support
Control panel design
PLC programming
HMI development
Project engineering
Process mechanical design
Process equipment and installation specifications
Vendor and Contractor management
Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, programming, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery and line control systems.

This Co-op position requires the ability to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities. Candidates need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility with tasks and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors.
