THIRD COVID-19 DEATH
According to Price County Public Health (PCPH), a third person from Price County has passed on. The death of this elderly person is associated with COVID-19.
“I come to you again saddened by the loss of another one our community members,” said Michelle Edwards, Health Officer. “We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family.
"We all must work together to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Simple actions such as washing hands, physical distancing, wearing face coverings, and staying home when sick can have a huge impact on the health and safety of Price County. Preventing COVID-19 requires a community approach. It’s important that we continue to take steps to protect one another, especially our most vulnerable,” added Edwards.
To date, 369 people in Price County have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
COVID-19 POSITIVE INDIVIDUAL AT RESORT
Price County Public Health is notifying the public that a COVID-19 positive individual was at Wintergreen Lake Resort on October 24,2020. While at this establishment the individual was contagious. “PCPH is unable to determine all of the individuals who may have been exposed,” states Michelle Edwards. “If you were at Wintergreen Lake Resort on this day and are experiencing or develop symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, headache, fatigue, loss of taste or smell), please contact your healthcare provider to get tested." PCPH has been in contact with Wintergreen Lake Resort. They are following general guidelines and will continue to work closely with Public Health during this time.
